I called them 15 minutes before they closed and asked them to make me a pizza. He did! I thought it was very generous of him to answer the phone and provide service for us. The pizza was excellent. We ordered pepperoni and sausage. There’s a really fun comic book vibe in there. You can look at comic books and comic posters whilst enjoying your pizza. Highly recommend.
I stopped in for a slice on a Sunday at lunch time. I was delighted that they had six varieties of pie in the case and even a Sicilian style pie (in the oven) for me to chose from! With many carnivore and vegetarian options, I went with a slice of veggie and a cheese slice. The crust was perfect, crispy NY style. The veggie slice was delicious with hefty amounts of every imaginable kind of vegetable. But the cheese slice was even better! The simplicity allowed the amazing flavor of the impeccably seasoned sauce to really be appreciated. The bubbly young lady who served me said the owners are from New York. I believe it! You can taste the authenticity in every bite!
We loved the pizza here. True NY style. Flavors and ingredients were very good too. We had a slice each of the cheese pizza, veggies (red sauce based) and the white sauce pizza (with mushrooms and greens) - all were awesome!
So good. Great staff. Super friendly and helpful. Love the atmosphere. All of the comics were so cool. Even had a set of teenage mutant ninja turtle artwork the we couldn't leave here, had to by them. Thank you so much.
As a New Yorker, I can authoritatively say that this is the real-deal for NY style pizza. Crust is perfect, sauce has the proper tang and the cheese produces the right amount of oil creating a slice you would find if instantly transported to Brooklyn. This is the first proper NY pizza I’ve found West of NJ. Also, for the comic and sports fans, there is a wall showcasing some of the best comic art and current books available. Opposite wall has sports going along with a star wars show. What a treasure!
This was such awesome pizza!! We went later after watching the sunset. Got to talk to the owner. What an awesome guy! Well we assume he was the owner. New York style pizza on the big island! When we talked to him he said some many years is making pizza in NY moved to the island and opened a pizza place! Didn’t disappoint. Would go back in a heart beat!! Us from Saskatoon Canada loved your pizza and the hospitality! Keep up the great work!
2nd night in a row ordering their pizza!! Put in an online order and when I arrived they were BUSY, but Adam was at the front taking order after order and Ben was in the back as a true magician throwing dough, making pizzas, baking and prepping! It’s TOTALLY worth any wait and watching the process in the back was fun. Thanks Kona Crust
